What Gord Logan saw

If Steven and Lynne crossed the bridge going north to the highway, Steven could not have killed her in the bush which was south of the bridge. (Click here to see maps.)

Two boys at the river insisted they saw Steve take Lynne across the bridge. One was Gord Logan who was 12, fishing in the river about 640 feet away from the bridge.

Here is the police photograph taken from the spot where Gord was standing:

The prosecution argued that Gord would not be able to identify anyone on the bridge.

But in 1966, on the eve of Steven's hearing before the Supreme Court, the police carried out a more rigorous test. An OPP was able to identify nine different vehicles crossing the bridge. When two young girls came to the bridge on their bicycles (much like Steve and Lynne did) Twaddle could see one girl wore pink slacks and a brown coat while the other wore black slacks and a white sweater.
