Wanda Wuttunee

I honor my Cree, Irish, Scottish, Ukranian and French ancestors who are always with me. The gifts I have been given are my son, daughter and life partner. My view of life is about hope and caring and is strongly influenced by my father and mother. Seeing the spirit of my community in each person impacts my writing, my research and my teaching. The story that I share with you acknowledges the problems we endure. It does not stop there. It points to my ‘neechi’ connection which means among other things, my spirit touches your spirit and is the way for future generations to thrive. For this I am grateful.
