Marianne Brandis

As a novelist and life-writer, I've specialized in researching, recreating and reimagining the past. I've written five award-winning historical novels for young people — which are read with equal enjoyment by others interested in history — and a fictional biography of an English duchess who lived 300 years ago. Two of my novels are set in twentieth-century Canada. I have just completed a biography of my mother. My latest published work is Finding Words: A Writer's Memoir. I live and write full-time in Stratford, Ontario.
