Sandra Beardsall

Born in 1959, I grew up in Brampton, Ontario, with my parents, Barbara and Lorne; my brother, Ken; my sister, Colleen; and various cats. After university studies in Toronto, a year of internship in Newfoundland, and ordination in the United Church of Canada, I spent several years ministering in Labrador, and then eastern Ontario, where I completed my doctoral dissertation on Methodism in outport Newfoundland. I now live in Saskatoon, working as a professor of church history and ecumenism at St. Andrew's College, and making a home with my spouse, Bill; my stepson, Liam; and, of course, the cat, Francis. Appearing in this volume alongside Sandra Birdsell will either clear up the tendency of many to mistake me for her, or confuse the situation hopelessly!
